We contacted Cabinets by Cantu last year to update our kitchen. We needed new cabinets on one wall, and uppers installed on existing cabinets on two other walls. Mimmo and his team came up with a fantastic design for us and the install went smoothly. We will definitely be calling again in the future when it’s time to redo a bathroom.

We had our kitchen remodeled and we like the work so well we didn’t hesitate to contract with Mimmo and his company for our bathrooms and laundry room. The work was done way quicker than expected and as before the workmanship was of the highest quality. The workers were always prompt and courteous even when dealing with my over enthusiastic dog. Thank you to Cabinets by Cantu for their quality work on my new kitchen, 1/2 bath and updated laundry room. They went from 1980’s to 2025! I couldn’t be happier with the results. They’re a professional team that work consistently with no gaps or breaks in between until the work is complete. That’s not always the case with other companies. In a world filled with fly-by-night, unpredictable and semi-competent contractors, Mimmo and his crew at Cabinets by Cantu are a fantastic, rare company that is competent, dependable, knowledgable, efficient, caring, and conscientious. I cannot recommend them enough. They are really good, and their workers are extremely good at what they do. They demolished and converted my archaic 1952 kitchen to a breathtaking new 21st Century kitchen. Once they started, they worked continually until it was done: no multi-week gaps in work like other contractors. I am so pleased and happy!

In 2021, Mimmo did a small job replacing a shower curb for me. I never forgot how professional he was and what a great job he did. So when I decided to have both of my bathrooms remodeled the only call I made was to Cabinets By Cantu. From the time I walked into to the showroom and explained my vision, Mimmo walked me through the entire process. We choose the most beautiful cabinets, countertops, tile and other finishes. Within 12 working days, Mimmo and Chris transformed my builders grade bathrooms into a work of art. My main bathroom truly looks like a spa. My shower is gorgeous and the shower floor is a one of a kind work of art. Mimmo and Chris did all of the work themselves, which included plumbing and electrical. When it came time to paint, he recommemded Marco who also did a fabulous job. I can not say enough about my exceptional experience with Cabinets By Cantu. Sometimes, I just go in and just stare in utter delight at my new bathrooms. Thank you so much for bringing my vision to reality. I would highly recommend them for any remodeling project. They left my house clean everyday and even cleaned the garage. Thank you again for craftmanship and artistry.

We love our new bathroom remodel downstairs. From initial visit with Mimmo about our bathroom re-model to the finished product we experienced no large problems. Everything was handled professionally, and the small problems were taken care of to our satisfaction. The crew and Mimmo listened to our input and made every effort to accommodate our wishes. Even things that were found after the project was complete were handled quickly.

From estimate to completion the workers, Chris in particular were courteous, skilled and professional. Minor adjustments were made with no complaints. They were always prompt on days scheduled to work and really seemed to care about their work quality. I would highly recommend them.

I was told Mimmo was the Best and he most certainly is. I bought a cabinet and counter top with faucet from this place for my bathroom Oh Wow it’s absolutely beautiful Mimmo did an excellent job in putting this cabinet in. I assure you if you want the Best you go to Cabinet by Cantu and you get Mimmo he knows what to do. Mimmo is a really nice guy and he’s very kind but he’s the Best!!!!! My kitchen desperately needed to be updated! 30 years with the same old cabinets and countertops! Now I have a beautiful kitchen that I’m not embarrassed of showing. Their insight and expertise helped us pick out the perfect look. They are hardworking and dependable! I love that they don’t contract their workers. They do everything themselves. Than you!

Cabinets By Cantu did an entire kitchen (from studs and sub floors) and more at our house.

We researched and visited with at least four companies before hiring Cantu. We liked, in no particular order (1) that all the reviews were 5 stars (2) that Mimmo was local and close to us (3) that when we went into his show room, he said to us “you see these gentlemen right here? These are the guys that are going to be in your house.” The work crew was NOT going to be a bunch of unknowns to us or to our “GC.”

Finally, we liked that the buck stopped with Mimmo. If something went wrong we wanted a contractor with ONE person to call to FIX it, not one to call to point somewhere else! As a real estate attorney, I have seen all too many times, contractors all pointing fingers at each other when something goes wrong, leaving the property owner uncertain how to get something done.

That said there are others that Cantu brings in for drywall, painting, hardwood floors and countertops, but to a certain extent, that’s to be expected as you want specialists; and none of these subs were less than professional.

We started talking in October. His shop has software to help draw the new room(s) and to visualize how it will appear from top down and horizontal perspectives. He was very detailed, and… if not instrumental, at least very helpful in communicating with us how we might want the layout and how the finished product would affect the flow of our house. Although admittedly more of the custom design came directly from us.

We were very pleased with the quick completion.

Another impressive thing was they worked with us on the custom pieces and the custom design aspects that we wanted in our kitchen, and in our house; even though they were completely unique to our desires. They were happy to work with us to get it the way we wanted, Joe worked, cut and arranged tile by tile, for the Pewabic mosaic we wanted over the stovetop. We love it. They would offer valuable suggestions on how what we wanted could be physically implemented into a wall or counter space… They did not threaten cost overruns when some custom pieces we ordered were slow to arrive, or when we had trouble finalizing a design. Instead, they focused on completing another area of the room.

Pricing was pretty much as we expected, Not cheap, but worth it.

On the follow up side, they have willingly returned for a few small growing pains and some tweaks here and there, and never tried to bill us for such silliness. We appreciate that as well.

Bottom line, Cabinets By Cantu has earned our highest praise and recommendation and we’ll be glad to bring Mimmo in for the next house project we undertake. It’s also Mimmo as a person and now a friend, that we rate so high. Thanks Cabinets By Cantu!
